On The Plate: You Want Tyranny? You'll Get Tyranny.

I'm about to mix religion and politics on one plate.

Those who want to impose big government, centralized control, heavy regulations, and choking tyranny on others drive their agenda to achieve this with lies, hoaxes, deceit, and bribery.

These very same people will be the ones who will welcome, embrace, and ultimately be subjected to a tyranny of unimaginable strength and scope.

A political/religious figure will capture their love and devotion by means of his own lies, hoaxes, deceit, and bribery. His followers will not realize who he is until its too late. Read 2 Thessalonians 2: 1-12 and Revelation 13:11-18 when you get a chance.

I agree with Robin (CBW).

There've been so many retreats from our original American experiment, which was marred by a very toxic, albeit necessary compromise with the Southern states (over slavery)...or there never would've been a USA and very possibly the Colonial Age may have well lasted another few centuries.

That flawed compromise is one of the reasons that a significant majority of black Americans support big government liberalism (affirmative action and numerous anti-poverty programs, both widely supported in that community are others), BUT African-Americans are NOT the ONLY Americans who've supported big government at the expense of individual Liberty.

The truly wealthy (those who DO NOT depend on income for the bulk of their wealth) and large Corporations have also supported a more intrusive regulatory state that, for large corporations, would freeze new competition out of their markets and for the truly wealthy, would "freeze the game in place" with themselves on top.

We abandoned Free Market Capitalism around 1912 and since that time, we've had what is often called "Corporatism" or "the political economy." Since that time, we've moved further and further away from individualism, private property rights and true LIBERTY.

We are now rapidly approaching critical mass. We, as a nation, must decide which path we want to take...the unfortunate thing is that the path of America's Founding principles is a much more difficult and arduous path. What makes that path even more difficult to sell people on, is that Leftists promise everyone "free stuff" in perpetuity, so it becomes a choice between one side (the individualists) selling the equivalent of broccoli in a candy store.

We face an uphill struggle, but then again, we always have.
